In a grand show of solidarity against animal abuse, People for Animals Hyderabad, Humane Society International/India, and Blue Cross of Hyderabad held a candlelight vigil at KBR Park in Hyderabad, to mourn the passing of the brave police service horse, Shaktiman. The demand was to increase the penalties under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
Animal Welfare Advocates from Telangana came together and held a candlelight vigil on April 21 between 6.00 and 7.30pm, to mourn the passing of police service horse, Shaktiman, and demanded a revision in the penalties for animal cruelty under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
